Advisory Committee on Chinese Medicine Development Fund
A. Terms of Reference
The terms of reference of Advisory Committee on Chinese Medicine Development Fund are to advise the Secretary for Health on the following aspects and to assist in promoting related work:
- matters relating to the overall administration of the Chinese Medicine Development Fund, including but not limited to publicity and promotion, consultation and engagement of stakeholders, application and assessment arrangements, monitoring mechanism, consideration of plans, budgets and reports prepared by the Secretariat of the Chinese Medicine Development Fund, and evaluation of the effectiveness of the Fund;
- major matters relating to the operation of the Chinese Medicine Development Fund –
- application guidelines and procedures, assessment and funding criteria, safeguard and control mechanisms;
- criteria setting and assessment of pre-approved list;
- assessment of applications, terms and conditions to be imposed for approved application and the amount of fund to be granted;
- monitoring on progress of approved projects, project results and disbursement of funds;
- advising appropriate actions to be taken against non-compliance of approved projects; and
- any other matters related to the Fund.
