Pilot Scheme on New Service Protocol for Child and Adolescent with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and Comorbidity (“ADHD+”)

< Back

The Pilot Scheme

The Pilot Scheme was launched in March 2021, under which five multi-disciplinary service platforms are established in different regions in Hong Kong (Hong Kong Island, Kowloon East, Kowloon Central & West, New Territories East and New Territories West). A cross-sectoral multi-disciplinary core team (comprising a part time clinical psychologist, an advanced practice nurse, an occupational therapist and an assistant social work officer) is set up in each of the platforms for provision of assessment and intervention services to children and adolescents with mild to moderate grade ADHD.

After standard intake assessments, individualised care plans for the service users are co-ordinated and delivered by the core team staff of the responsible platform, including diversified group training on psychology, emotion, attention, social and career orientation, etc. as well as personal guidance or counseling support services to service users or their parents. For clients with more serious mental health needs, they will be referred to HA or other service providers in the community.

The five service platforms of the Pilot Scheme are operated by the following Non-government Organisations (“NGO”):-

St. James’ Settlement for the Hong Kong Island service platform;
Kwun Tong Methodist Social Service for Kowloon East service platform;
Baptist Oi Kwan Social Service for Kowloon West & Central service platform;
SAHK for New Territories East service platform; and
Heep Hong Society for New Territories West service platform
