Appointment to Lotteries Fund Advisory Committee announced
The Government today (August 31) announced the appointment of seven members to the Lotteries Fund Advisory Committee (LFAC) for a period of two years, with effect from September 1, 2001.
The LFAC was renamed from the Subventions and Lotteries Fund Advisory Committee (SLFAC) in view of its refocussed role to advise the Director of Social Welfare on applications from welfare agencies for allocations from the Lotteries Fund and for permission to hold flag days.
Among the seven members appointed, Mr Vincent Lo Wing-sang and Miss Nancy Tsang Lan-see, have been serving on the SLFAC. The other five members are Miss Anna May Chan Mei-lan, Mr Ching Cheung-ying, Mrs Agnes Mak Tang Pik-yee, Dr Wong Chun-por and Miss Gabriella Wong Siu-ling.
A Government spokesman said, "The seven members come from a wide range of professions and will be able to draw on their vast experience in serving the Committee."
The seven members will be joined by Mr Henry Lau King-chiu and Mr Aaron Wan Chi-keung who were appointed in June 2001, as well as two official members.
