SFH visits Centre for Health Protection and Child Assessment Centre (with photos)

The Secretary for Food and Health, Dr Ko Wing-man, today (September 29) visited the Centre for Health Protection (CHP) of the Department of Health and the Central Kowloon Child Assessment Centre to inspect the operation of the two centres.

Accompanied by the Director of Health, Dr Constance Chan, Dr Ko first visited the CHP and met the staff of the Emergency Hotline Centre and the Programme Management and Professional Development Branch, as well as the Non-communicable Disease Division of the Surveillance and Epidemiology Branch, to learn more about their work. He was then briefed by the staff of the Emergency Response Centre, which plays a commanding role in major public health emergencies.

Dr Ko then visited the Central Kowloon Child Assessment Centre to understand more about the developmental assessment arrangements for children whose blood lead levels have been on borderline raised levels during the lead in drinking water incidents.
