Secretary for Health – Welcome Message

Welcome to the Homepage of the Health Bureau of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

The Health Bureau is committed to promoting and protecting the health of all citizens in Hong Kong. We also endeavour to ensure that the medical services and healthcare system in Hong Kong are of high quality.

In face of the challenges posed by ageing population, shortage of healthcare manpower and emerging diseases, our healthcare system must keep abreast of the times, make good use of technology and press ahead with reform and innovation to cope with the growing service demand of the community. Meanwhile, we also need to fully leverage Hong Kong’s advantages on the healthcare front to promote healthcare innovation and cooperation in the Greater Bay Area.

I will work hand in hand with healthcare professionals and the community to build a “Healthy Hong Kong” in line with the national “Healthy China” initiative. You are most welcome to put forward your views and suggestions regarding our work and services.
